Dance in Education

Mini Movers is a high energy music and movement company that allows children to express themselves and communicate creativity. Our sessions are interactive and structured to encourage children to take part in the activities at their own pace.

We deliver sessions to the community for parents and toddlers, nurseries, pre-schools, primary schools, sheltered housing & extra care accommodation, birthday parties and special events across South Wales.

We provide high quality music, movement and play sessions for pre-school children and creative movement sessions for foundation phase and Key Stage 2 children.

Pre-schools Music and Movement Sessions

Suitable from birth to approximately 5 years

Through music, songs, rhymes and a range of visual and tactile objects we aim to help enhance the early development of pre-school children.  We encourage them to explore their movement range and possibilities. The sessions are interactive and structured to encourage them to learn by copying, repetition and exploration while helping to develop their own responses to the different stimuli. Our pre-school programme focuses on developing movement, imagination, creative exploration and confidence.  Children are given the freedom to explore and express themselves freely during the session.

Foundation Phase & Key Stage 2

We ignite imaginations by providing opportunities to explore, refine and communicate ideas using stories, props, videos, music and images as starting points allowing children to think and respond creatively.

We deliver creative movement sessions to support the six Areas of Learning and Experiences, paying attention to Expressive Arts and Health and Wellbeing. Sessions aim to engage the children physically, emotionally and socially to enhance their self-confidence, creativity and well-being.

Sessions can be tailored around a specific topic or idea; this can be delivered as a taster in one session, developed over the course of a day or explored over a number of sessions during a term.
